The Electric Blue Cichlid most commonly refers to the Electric Blue Hap (Sciaenochromis Fryeri), a vibrant Lake Malawi native requiring a 200+ liter tank. They are, however, often confused with the smaller, more peaceful Electric Blue Acara (Andinoacara pulcher), which is better suited for community tanks. Both demand high water quality, protein-rich diets, and are known for their striking metallic blue coloration.
